MORE THAN

10 MILLION

AMERICAN CHILDREN LIVE IN POVERTY

and do not have access to sustainable, life-changing resources such as early childhood education and mentorship programs.

This is a clarion call for the people of this nation. Through the Community Engagement and Opportunity Council, it is our mission to revitalize the communities of America through sports, mentorship, and economic opportunity. Our work in economic and community development will help to provide tools for long-term sustainability as well as generational impact for individuals and families living in poverty stricken communities.

“THERE IS NO GREATER PRIVILEGE OR MORE HUMBLING ASSIGNMENT THAN TO GIVE YOUR TIME, TALENT AND TREASURE, THEREBY SERVING TO HELP OTHERS FULFILL THEIR

GOD-GIVEN POTENTIAL.”

– PRESIDENT AND BOARD MEMBER SCOTT TURNER

President and board member Scott Turner has a heart for helping those in need. Through education, sports and significant mentorship, he was able to rise up from much adversity and accomplish great things including playing 9 years in the NFL, managing a successful business career, becoming a Pastor, and most recently, serving in the White House. In April 2019, Turner was appointed by former President Trump to serve as the first ever Executive Director of the White House Opportunity and Revitalization Council in an unprecedented effort to revitalize and transform America’s most distressed communities, deemed Opportunity Zones. Under Scott’s leadership of the “WHORC,” private citizens invested over $75 billion in Opportunity Zones in just two years time.

Back home in Texas full time, Turner will continue this important work, starting in his own back yard with a vision to expand to communities across America, to which has traveled and witnessed the need for true revitalization. With the help of our sponsors, and partners, we are ready to tackle this challenge and provide poverty-stricken neighborhoods with the proper resources needed to thrive and grow!
